History
The Bridge of Sighs was built in 1602 Venice, Italy. It was designed by Antonio di Ponte and goes over the Rio di Palazza. It is one of the most famous bridges in Italy and the world. It is said that the Bridge Of Sighs is one of the most beautifully designed bridges in the world. The Bridge of Sighs was built to connect the Doge's palace and the Old Prisons together. People who committed crimes were walked across the bridge and then put in the prison cells on the other side. The Bridge of Sighs got its name in the 17th century because for the prisoners who were going to jail it would be the last thing that they would see before they went into their prison cells. The Bridge of sighs is 11m long and is made of limestone. The Bridge Of Sighs is easy to see from the Ponte Della Paglia. If you go on a boat under the Bridge Of Sighs you will see many sculptures mostly of sad faces or sculptures with a sigh on their face. That is another reason why it is called the Bridge Of Sighs. The construction of the Bridge of Sighs started in 1600 and was said to be finished in only 2 years. The inside of the Bridge of Sighs has 1 pathway in the middle for the guards to check on the prisoners. There is only one place that the prisoners can see out of and that is the grilled windows on the very side of the prison cells, from here they look at the bridge.
Why I chose the Bridge of Sighs
I chose the Bridge of Sighs because my mum and dad went on their honeymoon there and it is a very romantic place. It is said to be one of the most romantic places in the world. The Bridge of Sighs though isn't very romantic though because all you can think about is prisoners and prison cells.

They usually identify a group that have the same sociological, ethnographic or regional background. This describes what a cultural does and what actually makes them a cultural group. do certain culturesculture live in certain areas?areas
Certain cultures live in certain areas because of the religion or the culture or race live in that area so it is easy for them to fit in with the surroundings and the people around them. Also it would be easy to interact because they will probably speak the same language.
What makes them a cultural group? theThe way they
